Horses

Our 'Equine Instructors'  are an integral part of our program. they are very carefully selected and then go through an induction process to test whether they will be suitable and safe for our students. All of our horses are safe enough for a first time beginners first ride and many have extensive training that makes learning advanced maneuvers a walk in the park (or arena?). We take the best care of our horses possible. All are barefoot, fed a carefully calculated and nutritionally balanced diet, receive regular tune up rides from our trainers, and are well maintained and up to date on preventative healthcare. Our horses are part of the team and we treat them as such. Would you like to donate something for our horses? Please see the links below!

Breezy
19 year old Bay Paint Mare
Breezy
Registered APHA Name: Miss Cool Summer Breeze
Miss Breezy is is our been there, done that, solid lesson horse. Her gaits are smooth as glass and she has taught many students their first jog and lope. She's wonderful for instilling great confidence in new riders, and she's pretty too!

Booker

9 year old Sorrel Gelding
Registered APHA  Name: Red Oak Redemption

Booker is a retired reiner who now loves his job teaching lessons. He's the 'Puppy Horse', he'll meet you at the gate for a ride, follow you wherever you go, and loves scratches and attention. Just don't leave anything you like on the hitching post where he's tied, he likes to play with everything in sight!

Peanut
Peanut
9 year old Quarter Horse Gelding
Registered AQHA Name: Smart Sailin' Cody
Peanut is another retired reiner who is amazing at his job of teaching new riders the ropes. His smaller size makes him great for smaller students. He's definitely a favorite at the Academy.

Heirloom

Heirloom
26 year old Morgan Gelding
Heirloom is the wonderful, jolly old man. He belongs to the Reback family but he volunteers to teach other students as well. Don't let his big size fool you, he's a gentle sweetheart through and through. His fantastically smooth jog is a must-try! We love this old guy and he's still fit and spry thanks to the loving care he gets from the Reback family!

Dusty
Dusty is an awesome little saint of a pony. He's laid back and likes to take it easy. He's owned by the Dalton family who love and take very good care of him.
